Boronia Heights Primary School was established in 1968 on a spacious, elevated site, which offers panoramic views of the Dandenong Ranges. The well-maintained buildings include three permanent main classroom blocks, including a recently developed large junior/library learning centre and two portable double classrooms.
The school focuses on providing high quality learning in Literacy, Numeracy and Units of Inquiry as well as broad range of educational opportunities including emphasis on Music, Art and Physical Education.
The school has introduced many supportive Student Well Being initiatives. The school utilises Program Achieve: “You Can Do It”, which builds student self-esteem and resilience based on the four foundations of Getting Along, Organisation, Persistence and Confidence.
Collaborative decision-making and empowerment of staff, students and parents are core values of the school’s culture. Teaching teams identify goals and work cooperatively to enhance student learning. Parents are encouraged to participate in decision-making through membership of School Council and its committees, as well as contributing ideas and feedback through various school community surveys.
